  • First-class average of 50.21
  • Two 50+ scores and a century in this year’s CSA One Day Cup
  • Standout performer for Durham CCC in the UK

After receiving his call-up, Bedingham expressed his excitement and gratitude:

Bedingham’s selection is a testament to his dedication and hard work. He has overcome a serious accident and returned to the sport stronger than ever, playing with a smile and enjoying every moment. This positive attitude is undoubtedly contributing to his success.

In addition to Bedingham, Western Province is celebrating the call-up of three more players:

  • Mihlali Mpongwana (ODI): Received a call-up after a stellar performance in the CSA One Day Cup final, blasting a maiden List A 100 and claiming 3-32.
  • Nandre Burger (ODI-T20-TEST): Back in the national set-up after string of injuries, rewarded for his stellar performances with Western Province and Joburg Super Kings.
  • Tony De Zorzi (ODI-TEST): Retains his position in the squads after dominating the runs charts during the season.
  • Kyle Verreynne (ODI-TEST): Recalled after impressive performances following his omission from the squad that took on the West Indies.

Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) President Johannes Adams expressed his pride in the players’ achievements:

“We as Western Province are very proud of our boy’s achievements, and we’re very happy that the selection is based on performance. So us being the only unbeaten team in the 50-over format proved that it was factored into selection,” he said.
