Lizo Gqoboka, the Springbok forward, bids farewell to the Vodacom Bulls family as he embarks on a new journey with a yet-to-be-disclosed club, as confirmed by his management team. Since joining in 2016, Gqoboka has made 108 caps across all competitions, becoming a key figure in the team’s success. He has achieved accolades such as a two-time Currie Cup winner and Super Rugby Unlocked winner, along with appearances in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and Heineken Champions Cup.

Throughout his time at Loftus, Gqoboka has been a respected leader, often captaining the team and earning admiration from his peers. He has also represented South Africa in international matches and was an essential asset in the Vodacom Bulls’ 2023 Currie Cup campaign, earning him the Player of the Year title.
